If you live out of state or are unable to travel, phone consultations are possible. However, we suggest that you look over the “Best Tests” so you have a understanding of what is now possible in our testing. There have been several new tests, developed recently, to identify what is really going on with more complex cases. The usual initial testing is the sex hormones (male or female) and Cortisol. Over production of cortisol in response to prolonged stress results in hypo responsiveness to the normal HPA-axis resulting in a low awakening cortisol response (Fries,Hesse, et al. 2005. Also persistent lack of cortisol availability in traumatized or chronically stressed individuals may promote an an increased vulnerability for the development of stress-related bodily disorders. ( Heim C, Ehlert U, 2000 Jan:25(1):(1-35) We use Access Medical Laboratories as they are they can test for DHT (Dihydrotestosterone) which is important for women in regards to hair loss and in men, the potential problems with Prostate. Once you are scheduled as a new patient, please print out and complete the LeeClinicForm- (New Patient Questionaire) and bring it with you to your appointment. It is important to have this form completed so that Dr. Lee has the information that he needs, which includes symptoms and family history.
If you are being seen for a follow up visit, please be sure you have had your labs done at least 72 hours before your visit. It is important that we know which lab you have used for your blood work. Saliva testing can take two to three weeks to receive the results.
We request 48 hours notice for cancellations. We realize “life happens” but letting us know in advance allows us to fill your spot with someone on the waiting list.
