The Lee Clinic (TLC) is pleased to announce the development of our own line of skin creams.
The Lee Clinic developed TLC Skin Creams by listening to patients, knowing the environmental dangers of current skin creams, defining the problem and developing a safer alternative. Dr. Lee extensively reviewed the literature and current research to develop a unique safe answer to pass along to our patients. The problem is in the base. It took several years to develop a safe base for the natural skin nutrients. Skin creams on the market now contain ingredients that the consumer has never heard of, let alone able to pronounce. Take a moment to look at the fine print on your creams, there are Xeno estrogens (estrogen like) compounds that contribute to breast cancer etc. Go to EWG.org., the Environmental Working Group, to learn more about these chemicals and the health hazards they create. Our unique natural base is oil-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, and contains no parabens, propylene glycol, or petrochemicals.
Dr. Lee’s research has defined the main natural nutrients that are needed to maintain and improve your skin health. We have organized them into 3 products. They can be used alone or in combination. Our goal is to give the patient correct information for them to make a decision, and to create an ongoing dialogue, so that all patients are educated and can make intelligent skin care decisions.
TLC Glow, TLC Day and TLC Night
TLC Glow- Contains Estriol and Hyaluronic Acid
No one else has a skin cream that contains Estriol. This cream will requires a prescription from a Physician. In order to use this cream, you must be a patient of Dr. Lee’s and have taken a saliva test to evaluate your hormone levels.
Estriol is the weakest, safest Estrogen, a hormone that increases during pregnancy. Estriol increases collagen by increasing fibroblast activity. One study showed that it increased collagen by 48%. It is thought that estriol protects the skin similar to how it protects bones. Studies also show that Estrogen reduces the depth of wrinkles up to 30% after 30 days of use. Also, after 6 months the elasticity and firmness of the skin had markedly improved – with the the wrinkle depth and pore size decreasing by 60% to 100%. There were no systemic hormonal side effects (Am J Pathol 1999, Oct:1555 (4) 1137-46).
Hyaluronic Acid , also included in TLC Glow is the same active ingredient in Restylane and Perlane that thickens the skin.
TLC Day Solution
Alpha Lipoic Acid, Niacinamide, Vit C esters, Vit E , Glutathione and CoQ10– Antioxidants
Retinol – Increases Collagen DMAE stabilizes cell membranes.
Vit A -increases skin growth
Ferulic Acid – protects against damaging ultraviolet light.
TLC Night Solution
Progesterone has been used for 35 years as a anti-aging treatment with out side effects.
Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant and increases collagen.
L- Carnitine it has a great moisturizing effect and exfoliating properties.
